I stopped at Shoney’s restaurant in Lavonia a few days ago for breakfast. What a treat! The breakfast buffet was loaded with yummy breakfast treats. Scrambled eggs, girts, hash browns, biscuits, gravy. There is something on the breakfast bar to please the most discriminating taste. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean, and spills around the buffet bar was quickly wiped up. Very nice place to eat a meal.

The buffet was AMAZING...the staff are courteous and attentive. Our drinks were always full and watching the cooks change out food that still looked fine for fresher was impressive. This is definitely the best buffet around.
We use to love Shoney's so we tried this one tonight. It was okay. Not sure how you mess up green beans but they were not good. The wait staff was very nice though.
Walked in around 1:30 pm and the place was empty but had a full buffet set up. The food was fantastic and hot. Staff were very pleasant and courteous. Typical Southern Hospitality. It is a definite must stop if you love good Southern Cooking.
The food was terrible. The dining area was a mess. Dirty plates sitting everywhere. They had old breakfast food on the bar. The meats were very gross. Even the chicken strips were nasty. The dessert bar was a mess. Everything was mixed together. Then to top it off it was $40 for 2 of us to eat. Definitely will not be back and do not recommend it at all.
